A few more Chameleons

Four new ones since the last post. Still plan on a couple more. There will be an exhibition in the Bay Area later in the year. Woo Hoo!

Another Winner

Just thought I’d announce that my Shop and Stop (below) was awarded a Special Recognition in the June competition from Light, Space and Time. (It’s also hanging at the SFWA gallery right now as part of their June show, but will come down on Saturday.

10th Solo Show at the Bay View Boat Club is up

I hung my MORROCO SHOW today and this poor photo (way too much morning glare) might entice you to come to the reception on Tuesday, June 18 from 6 – 8pm with live jazz from 7 until 10-ish. Of course at the Reception I will have bins with matted prints and note cards beyond Morocco.

New ‘Chameleon’ Series

Currently I’ve finished 8 new renderings of musicians with a plan to do several more in the series.   You’ll find them in my Music portfolio on this site where you can see larger versions. Hope you like them – and I’d love to have any questions or comments!!

Port Chicago Suite

A wonderful review of a wonderful tour-de-force performance of Marcus Shelby’s Port Chicago Suite just came out using 3 of my photographs. Thank you Jeff Kaliss for the brilliant analysis of the evening and for using my photographs. Here’s the review.

So nice to see how my work looks on someone else’s wall!

One of my Morocco photos was recently purchased from the print bin at the SFWA gallery. I asked the purchaser if I could see how it looked once installed, and I am very pleased in the framing choice. This is Rampart Bicycle – with cat, shot in Essaouira.

Another Music Photo in the News

Another photo I took of the talented pianist, Larry Vuckovich, found its way into the Napa Valley’s Weekly Calistogan. After this past month where TWO of my musician photos were used in two different obituaries, it is heartening to see one used to promote great music! @larryvuckovich.
